RF-X editor and import

I have searched and searched but can't figure out how to import a model .rfx from the swap pages into RF-X. Can someone please elaborate the steps for RF-X? I can import fine into RF 7.5.
Also I see reference to editing fields and models. How do you edit anything in RF-X?
Thanks

This is the download link to the RF-X vehicle editor
http://www.knifeedge.com/downloads/R...ditorSetup.exe
just install and open editor, click on "file" for drop down list, click "import" and browse to where you stored your swap pages aircraft to load into RF-X."
Then shut down editor, open RF-X find the aircraft you imported (they will be in "italics" in your list)
Not all aircraft load properly, good luck.
Fields are not editable.

What do you care if the authoring tool is built in or stand alone? I think that "Built-In" is the keyword. Probably 90 percent of the people never touch the aircraft editor and I think 99% never build an airport.

Previously, KE said an authoring tool for airports would be difficult to provide. I hope that changes.

That's the spirit, RF-X is the ultimate.

External editors are the norm in other software and games so its not really a surprise it's this way in RF-X. It would be nice if you could get to it from the software launcher though and that it gets installed with RF-X in future versions.

Aircraft editor is very important, I like to fine tune flight characteristics, and colour schemes but a built in or stand alone editor works for me.
An editor is an editor!
