I created the fuselage this morning so things are moving along pretty well. Next I'll put all the parts together and add the wing struts. I haven't made the cabane struts or the head rest but once I get the plane together I will. I also need to work on the radiator it has some extra parts I need to make, but that will be after I get all the plane parts together. Of course there's the guns and all the parts for them so still lots of work to do.

It's coming along faster than expected. It's too hot again today for anything outdoors. I'm just watching TV, simming on RF7.5, and flying the tiny helicopters and quads around the den.

I added the cabane struts tonight and then put everything together and made a plane. Here's 3 views for you.

I worked on the radiator today and have two versions of it. The first one has a solid grill and you would paint the grill on like the ElectriFly SE-5a in expansion pack 3. The second one I'll upload a picture of has the grill modeled in (lots of triangles there). It will be a bit of a pain to map because to me to do it right all the faces of the grill need to be mapped so you can paint the walls of the grill to get the look you want. Like a shadowed look for the walls and then a color on the back, or a picture of a grill. I'll have the back of each grill a full sized texture and then all the faces of the grill would probably be four thin rectangles to paint. Not that bad, just a fair amount of extra work to make the grill look good. Small stuff like this is hard to see unless you're close. Anyway here's a picture of the front of the radiator from a 3ds screen shot, that looked better and more detailed than a render. And I sharpened it in Photoshop to so it would stand out.

I added the engine shaft and prop hub and also connected the two radiator grills with a wall top and bottom effectively framing that area. I've seen it done both ways and I think framing it makes it look a little nicer. But I'll see how it looks in RealFlight before I make my mind up for sure. Actually I've seen the radiator done several ways even fully encased but this probably looks more stock. Anyway here's a 3ds screen shot again and I sharpened it a bit so it's as clear as possible to look at. I still need to add the hole for the engine shaft and the hole above it, what do they call that. An intake hole? Ha.. I guess I better go to bed it's 4 am, again.

I did some more work on the SE5a today and it's starting to look like a plane now. I added the headrest and cutout the cockpit. Here's a render for you.
