Using I-controller w/other programs
I'm using Win98SE on my 850MHz laptop with ATI Radeon Mobility graphics (have to turn of 3D scenery), 30 FPS - RealFlight G2 (RF) works good.
I'm able to use the G2 USB controller on RF and on MS FlightSim2000, but not on some other programs. I-Controller shows up and works OK in the Gaming Options Control Panel, so Windows knows it's there. Sure seems like any program that uses the Windows joystick drivers / API's should be able to use this controller too. I know the "culprit" programs (those that can't see it) may be using non-standard calls to the hardware. I wonder if anyone might have any clue on what's really going on (I'm just guessing). Is there's a known fix? Or????? |
