Multiplayer suggestions

Seems to me that the biggest problem that I encounter with multiplayer is finding other players. Isnt there a way that when you click on the HOST option that it registers that host on a global database as available. Then when you quit or stop hosting it removes that entry. When anybody pulls up the JOIN option there could then be a button that allows them to pull up a list of currently available G2 servers that are running and accepting connections.

Failing that it would at least be nice to be able to store favourite / frequently connected to sites.
