installation takes forever

I have just built a new AMD Athalon 1.4 Raid computer, running W2k, for the exclusive purpose of running the G2 simulator. The installation of the software took 2 hours. While it tediously copied 4GBs. This is the second time I have had install and reinstall in an effort to get the transmitter interface to work, which by the way it still doesn’t. So I am sure I will waste another 2 hours at least.

I would like to know if there is a reason for the slow copies, and what it is doing anyway. And are there any plans to fix this, or has anyone else even reported this problem?

We also have had problems witht the transmiter
interface driver which could not be found at startup.

We've reinstalled the software (only) and got the lastest version (online update) no it works fine.
