G2 starts, plays a couple notes and shuts off

I have read a few of the others that have the same problem, with the Nvidea drivers. I am using an ASUS 8420 v29.40b video card and 6.13.10.2940 is the driver version. Does anyone have any idea if different drivers will work?

I have run the program on my parents old P3 450 and it ticks me off that it won't work on my AMD 2200xp

RFG2 and nvidia drivers

I may be passing on old news but I was having the same problems with my system (yes, Athlon + GEForce) and I got a solution from software support this aft. Why haven't they posted it?
Beats me. This is of course a temporary fix but it worked for me and may for you:

Open the file "realflight.ini" in the program directory (default: C:\Program Files\Real Flight)

TWO lines below the last entry
YOU MUST HAVE A SPACE!!

Add:

[Direct3D]
UseHardwareVertexProcesing=No

Save exit & run RFG2! That's it!
(NB Yes, there's a speling mistake. So programers can't spel 'processing'?
