Can't get G2 to work after instal

Hey Guys, I just built myself a new computer and was trying to instal realflight on it. The instalation worked fine but when I go to run it, the "loading program" icon pops up and the music starts but it cuts off after about a second and the icon disappears. Nothing loads after that. I had this same CD installed on my old computer and everything worked fine. Here are my new comp specs (maybe something isn't compatible):

Windows XP pro, Pentium 4 2.66 processor, 512 ram, On-board surround sound, Nvidia Geforce 4 MX440 video card w/64mb ram.

I installed it through a dvd drive because my 52x cd drive was broken - could it be that my dvd drive isn't fast enough?? Any suggestions?
help!!

I am now having the same problem as you.

It used to run fine on my PC. I recently consolidated my PC and Mac to one SOny 21" CRT and now it doesn't work.

It starts with the small splash screen and maybe a second of the music then quits and returns to the desktop.

I reinstalled everything, first just G2, then reloaded Windows XP over XP, keeping my files. Reinstalled drivers and G2 again.

I removed the KVM switch, reinstalled Windows XP CLEAN and G2 CLEAN with DirectX8.1, reloaded current nVidia 5200 drivers, sound drivers and still the same exact problem.

Splash screen a second of music then it quits. I don't have anything else to try to reinstall!

Totally at a loss here, first time I installed it it went in with no problems and worked great until I swapped monitors. The new monitor is a high end Sony FD Trinitron 500. The old CRT was a Dell 17".

Anyone seen this problem, I'm stumped!

Thanks,

its the monitor

RF2 Splash screen a second of music then it quits- it might be the monitor

was using my old 17"in CTR monitor, swithed to the small 15" LCD monitor that came with the computer
it started right up as it did before hope this helps someone :-)
