G3 question

Will G3 finally get rid of the stupid method of checking EVERY cd in order to run.
I started with std realfilght and upgraded to G2, then I made the mistake to getting an addon pack.
Now G2 will sometimes ask for all 3 cds before I start, talk about copy protection getting in the way!
Anyone remember when Lotus 123 did the same thing back in 1984?
That is an archaic method that is really annoying.

Most of us have been able to eliminate the disk swapping with the updates. I think mine went away with 301. I haven't swapped in months. Do you start rf using autostart or from the desktop. I don't take the cd out so I start from the desktop and that may be part of my goodluck.

Don't bother me now, I'm flying RFG2...
Or am I flying the real thing? I can never tell till the landing...

thanks

thanks Jackson,
I ended up adding a slower cd drive to my system and using that as the RF drive.
Everything works now and I have been able to update to the latest version so it doesn't ask for the cds all the time.
I still love to prog, just hate it when a brain damaged copy protection scheme prevents easy use of an application.

Everyone calls the diskswapping a copy protection, but I think this was actually a "BUG".

The TX interface is the real copy protection and no other method is needed.

Great to hear that your system is humming along now.
