rfv2cdverify.exe crashes

I've had RealFlight G2 installed on my desktop no problem, but I couldn't install it on my laptop. I dowloaded the Installation Fix and was able to install it fine. I can't update to the latest version (as the master servers appear to be down; someone else on the forums is having the same error I am), so I tried to run the game without the updates. I can get to the splash screen, but then I get "rfv2cdverify.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close" error. I don't have this problem on my desktop, so it has to be something on my laptop.

Alienware Area51m
P4 3.0GHz HT
1GB PC-3200 RAM
ATi MR9600 Pro 128MB
60GB HDD
24x10x40 DVD/CD-RW Combo drive

Anyone else have this problem on a laptop? I've uninstalled and reinstalled several times with no luck.

Thanks!

C'mon guys, 16 views and no responses? Has no one else ever had this problem? I got rid of the desktop and can't play the game as I can't get past this error on my laptop...

Have a look at these knowledge base entries for information on getting to use the backup server

Sounds good, I'll give it a shot as soon as I get home from work. Thanks!

Worked like a champ! Backup servers worked fine for me, but I had to manually update the Control Panel first. The Control Panel that installs with G2 doesn't allow you to use that code.

Thanks again guys!
