The dongle can handle 8 channels, the DXe handles 6 channels. That will work. However, the Interlink DX handles 15 channels. Some aircraft need more than 6 channels.
If it were me, I would get the Interlink DX and software together. If you are short of funds or do not know if you are going to stay interested, you might go the other way.
